Rebalancing your account.

Rebalancing your account.
I read the following on another site and I have never heard of this before. Can anyone shed some light on this?
"Now there is something called a <1% IFT you can do to rebalance your funds, but only due it after you have done your 2 IFT's, because if not they will count toward your monthly limit."
"Example, I am 50%F and 50% C, stocks rise, so the next day my TSP balance is 49.75% F and 51.25% C. I can rebalanced back to my 50/50 split, or increase my stocks and go 49 F and 51 C. Rounding up, or down, to the next whole number, it is a <1% move and is only reconsidered a rebalance. You can do this any number of times throughout the month, but remember, if you do if before you have used your two IFTs it counts towards them. After you have made your two IFT's, they are like the move into the G fund, you can do them any number of times."

Re: Rebalancing your account.
You get your first two IFT's of the month to any of the fund options, all subsequent IFT in the same month may only be to the G fund. Please see the TSP site here for more information: https://www.tsp.gov/planparticipation/i ... IFTs.shtml
Re: Rebalancing your account.
Just as I suspected, I guess nobody every heard of this. If it was possible to do, then one could set up their own personal L fund (containing the mix of funds desired) and rebalance it every day.

Do you really think TSP posts everything you can do on their website? Of course not, they are the ones who limit our IFT's.
Since it was my message you so kindly cut and pasted over here on this forum I felt I had to respond. Yes it is possible. I learned about it from the other TSP site, TSPTalk.com Go do a search over there for more details.

Have you tried it yet? If not go and see. We will wait right here to see how you come out.
