I have a question for those who know more on this subject than i do. i have been eyeballing GREK for a while. GREK is an ETF that according to my understanding comprises of several stocks from greek companies. here is my situation.
I think this fund is going down. i think it will go way down if greece defaults. unfortunately i dont think i can explore options trading on this fund for some reason. now here is my question. if greece defaults what happens to this ETF? does it det dissolved? if i have a position in it before the default will my investment be wipped out as if the fund starts over at $0.00? can the price of the ETF get close to $0.00?
i have also been looking at NBG. national bank of greece. this is currently around $1.24. I wonder what the countrys default could do to this stock since this bank is state controlled.
what i am trying to do in the big picture is gain some sort of exposure to greece and hopefully make some money somehow as funds/markets go down. anyone have any ideas on how to specifically invest in greeces fall whether its stocks, commodities, options, and etfs besides what i already have?
