Good Video, 2018 Market vs Economy

Post by Tomanyiron »

There's always a lot of talk about how they are the same, (or will go in the same direction). 2018 is talked about near the end, and how so many people got caught leaning the wrong way.
Oh, do you walk a dog? I do, and he does just like that one.

I like Josh. He bought a farm and rides around on the tractor.

But this video is like pre-penicillin vs. post penicillin. So many lives have been saved with penicillin and other wonder drugs we forget what previous deathly infections .

So let's look at the market as pre-algorithmic vs. post algorithmic. There are so many different algorthms in play entering multitudes of buy sell orders that vanish in seconds-- the market is like bread dough being kneaded before it is oven time. This includes real world news inputs to what that news might cause in the markets. It's like the Maineac who rode the train to New York city. When he got home and was asked how was it he replied: "There was so much going on at the depot I never did get to see the village." And so it is in the daily market places. Add to that the manipulations of the Plunge Protection Team in a presidential election year and it is very doubtful this market will not go down until we find out who sits in the oval office the next 4 years. So, I still like Josh, but on CNBC they do not talk about the Team That Should Never Be Named or options expiration weeks like this one. The best and brightest on this web site should remember that all these statistics are based on calendar years and many ups and downs occur in those time frames. Following a program because of past gains does not mean the same program works this year. And don't forget that stupid 2 IFT rule that screws us out of a lot more money.

Worked, and squeezed, with the unsympathetic hands of masters of manipulation. Keeping my attempts at perfectionism in a maladapted mess.
Thanks Cron for all the insightful comments.

Working on it. I'm juggling the tasks of calculating all of the 2019 stuff, updating the posts for 2020 to be as accurate as possible, and trying to to fall behind on my college work all at the same time. Plus, TSP was late getting the official stats out this month, so that put me a little further behind as well. I'm about halfway done with the whole thing. Should be able to get a lot done this weekend, if not completely finished. That's my goal, anyway.
