To your question, I am still active duty and have been for over 19 years and will retire next year.

I am currently all in C, trying to follow TSPcenter's Seasonal Calculator.

Out to sea for a few more months right now.

Kevin you are close to retirement. Do you think it is wise to be in the C Fund before the election?

Still chugging away...
Did AD Army for 4 years; pushed off the the National Guard, became a FedTech for 3 years; and then AGR for the Guard (best job in the military). Going on 23 years total thus far. Going to hit at least ten more active years and then see what I want to do.

Finished 20 years active US Navy in 2017. Now just investing the funds already in TSP. Currently all in S though C is doing better. Of course the trend has reversed the last couple of days.

4 Years Active Duty Air, 16 Years AGR ANG, 1+ year Traditional Air Guard. Full time Federal Employee (GS-13). Delayed 20 Active Duty Retirement tell 30 Sept 18. Age 40 and plan on saving Mil retirement check for 10 years (Age 51) and see what the next logical step would be. While on Active duty I place a little of my check towards the TSP. it = 50K... I'm currently contributing 15% of my federal pay. still adjusting to pay.. Plan on maxing out the TSP within a couple of years.... my wife is Maxed out 18,500 a year and has about 10 more years to go....

7 years as a medic in the Army National Guard. 3 years as a civil servant. E-4 the whole time in ARNG. GS13 as a CS. There was no reason for me to stay in the guard. I loved my medic family and soldier brothers and sisters but drill was costing me more than I was getting out of it.

Nope.

I did my 6 years in the AF-CSAR, got out and never looked back. I liked my time there, just not enough to stay. Too many deployments to exotic beaches with no water.

Best life decision I ever made... the Army wasn't easy, but nothing in life is easy. I'm proud to have served in uniform and as a Government Civilian. I'm 'busting at the seams' proud of our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Guardians today! Stay tough, stay vigilant, stay strong... America needs you.

I’m still chugging along. I’m at 19 Active Federal right now (25 total years so far). I don’t anticipate staying as long as I first thought. So I’ll likely bow out in the next 2-5 years b
