Most-Watched Host on Cable News
Was Tucker Carlson.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/markjoyell ... 5190856195
"Tucker Carlson Tonight and Hannity were the only shows to break four million viewers, with Hannity just behind Carlson (4.331 million viewers vs. 4.311 million). Fox News had the five top-rated shows overall, including The Five (3.898 million viewers), Special Report with Bret Baier (3.658 million viewers) and The Ingraham Angle (3.622 million viewers). The same five shows—in the same order—led among viewers in the key demo, with Carlson delivering 791,000 viewers, according to ratings data compiled by Nielsen."
I don't know about you, but I think that is significant. Do you think a lot of people are watching news shows that they disagree with? I think that's makes all these polls sound very off.
What do you think, I'm I missing something? Especially like to hear from the liberals here. Please don't start a debate about who is the most "Bad". This is about poll accuracy, related to popularity of news shows.

Re: Most-Watched Host on Cable News
Fox news kind of has a cult-like following. That, and they are really the only "mainstream" news show that puts out right-leaning content, compared to several different mainstream news shows that put out left-leaning content.
Finally, I suspect that people in the cities are both 1) More likely to be liberal, and 2) More likely to get their news from digital sources than they are from network television. I would think that people in rural communities tend to be the opposite on both points.

The Nuremberg Rallies were all in the rage too back in the 1930's. Good times.

Do they still have advertisers over there?

This, imo.mjedlin66 wrote:Fox news kind of has a cult-like following. That, and they are really the only "mainstream" news show that puts out right-leaning content, compared to several different mainstream news shows that put out left-leaning content. ....
For example:
A few shows that spew one narrative: most popular one at 5 billion viewers (or whatever the figure really is)
vs:
15 shows that spew the other narrative: 3 billion viewers each
This is just a guess, with made up numbers, to illustrate the point as to how the comparison should be made.

LOL ... yeah, just illustrated the concept (like all the other replies). Didn't do the grunt work (like all the other replies).Tomanyiron wrote:I was interested in what you had until this:Reminded me a lot of Adam Schiff's made up fraudulently transcript letter, he read to Congress.userque wrote: ..This is just a guess, with made up numbers.

( FYI: my "yeah" is not meant to agree with your potentially debate starting political attack. )

Re: Most-Watched Host on Cable News
I, and many my age (35-44), don't watch TV. I hadn't had cable for over 10 years.

But some oldies still hang on cable tv news (Foxnews et al.)--just like how they hung on to AOL dial-in for decades after it became irrelevant

Re: Most-Watched Host on Cable News
OK I can see what you are saying. Older folks watch more TV. And which age group is more likely to vote?
Oh and what about this? Voter registration in Illinois, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia each dropped by more than 50%, and California plummeted by 75%.
All states have lower registration due to the coronavirus pandemic. But looks like the blue states have the biggest problem.
