"Allocation" vs "IFT"

"Allocation" vs "IFT"
This website makes extensive use of "Allocation" to refer to your current account distribution.
I feel like this is somewhat confusing to new people who might confuse it with "Contribution Allocation".
I'm wondering if I should change the word "Allocation" out for "IFT". So your "current account allocation" would read "current account IFT".
The leaderboard is a good example. It shows "Allocation" and "Allocation Date". Is it better to say "IFT" and "IFT Date"? See attachment.
The leaderboard on the new website appears to be working correctly. You select what you want to see from the drop-down menu and it updates the table immediately. No page loading.

Re: "Allocation" vs "IFT"
I agree. Good idea.
Re: "Allocation" vs "IFT"
I’d say switch it out to IFT. I write stuff on the side on redder and on Wordpress and was asked that same question when I say stuff like “my new allocation is this”. I’ve had people get confused with contribution allocation versus IFT
Re: "Allocation" vs "IFT"
I kind of prefer Contribution Allocation and Allocation Date.
IFT makes me think someone is transferring to another fund.
what ever you do is most appreciated.

IMHO, word it exactly like TSP.gov, then explain it.

TSP website refers to it as "Distribution of Account".ProduceMan wrote:IMHO, word it exactly like TSP.gov, then explain it.
I like that. "Distribution".

I think that either one works well.

Status update. Working on the IFT input form. Working on both desktop and mobile versions simultaneously.

Could you check my Fantasy? No rush. My stock prices have gone up since I did an IFT yet I show losing money. Thanks for all your work.
Re: "Allocation" vs "IFT"
Distribution of Account is clear.
IFT implies change and doesn't seem appropriate for describing a static state.

Re: "Allocation" vs "IFT"
Your account is affected by a bug in the new L funds. But your IFTs are still logged. Please wait a few days for the new website, then I will do a recalculation and it will sort itself out. Expect it to be correct by the weekend.PraiseGod7 wrote:Could you check my Fantasy? No rush. My stock prices have gone up since I did an IFT yet I show losing money. Thanks for all your work.
