S fund
Why is the S fund tanking? AMD/Microsoft just reported good earning beats. More stimulus on the horizon. What's going on?
Re: S fund
Transports (DJT) just tested bottom of a former breakout area (from Jan 4-5) and appear to be holding the bottom of that that line from about mid to late Dec.

Re: S fund
I bailed out to G on Friday 1/15 getting a little nervous about when the bubble might burst. Waiting to jump back into C and S. Questionable if this is the burst or just a temporary dip. No one seems to know. For people in G now, ready to get back in? Or is everyone running to the hills now to G?
Good luck with your TSP and retirement plans!
Re: S fund
The way I understand it, the big-time institutional trading nowadays is done by AI/ML software. So the people who either came up with the core buy-sell methods or those who wrote the source code in these products would know best. But given the constantly evolving learn-as-you-go method of this software--only it knows exactly why it decides to allow VXF to dump todayVAmanBulls wrote:Why is the S fund tanking? Re: S fund
It seems like it has been traditional that the traders sell before the Fed speaks as a little motivator, it's not unthinkable that AI would pick up on that. They are going to dump more debt into the market probably for now. Keep an eye on real inflation, the market could crash up. Typically, that could be worse than crashing down. When the 10 year Bond is positive than money is going into the market. The two schools of thought are that we will have a crash soon, and the other is that maybe, but we have higher to go based on fed intervention. My feeling is that nothing goes up in a straight line, and I wish I had more than two (2) trades a month.
Re: S fund
Both stocks mentioned are most likely in the C fund. S is more mid cap oriented (with a sprinkle of small). It tends to be more sensitive, but can also return a lot more. I think you know this though...VAmanBulls wrote:Why is the S fund tanking? AMD/Microsoft just reported good earning beats. More stimulus on the horizon. What's going on?
