Unlocked an achievement medal today . . .

Post by IRQVET »

I know given present company this isn't that big of a deal, but it was for me. It took me 5 years, 1 month, and 1 day. But I just hit $100,000 in my (real) TSP account! (Investing 15% Roth, 5% Traditional TSP)

Big thanks to TSPcenter for the continued education.

Congrats!. It feels good to hit that milestone.
I am just an average Joe. I have no clue to what the market will do.

That's great news IRQVET. You will be surprised how much easier it will be to turn 100K into 200K. Looks like your a Veteran. Have you taken advantage of your VA Home Loan benefits? Zero down payment with these great interest rates is a good deal. You need a little real estate added to your portfolio.

Great job, and remember that $100K in a ROTH is comparable to $150K in a conventional for spending power.

I exhaust every VA benefit, and yes, I have two VA home loans. (One state VA, one Federal VA Loan) I own homes on opposite coasts. (One in Florida, one in California)

For real estate investing, I highly recommend Biggerpockets.com
