Keep Calm Index
I got a new system for 2022, no more “Anticipation” posts. Don’t worry, it’s not a "Throw out the baby with the bathwater" change. Friend and Force indicators are included, along with a short list of others.
As Yogi Berra once said: ‘Baseball is 90% mental. The other half is physical.’ The same with stock market timing. Being successful is 90% mental discipline, the other ‘half’ (secondary part) is having a good system or strategy. Uncertainty hit me a few times in 2021, my account suffered.
Talked about many times on this site is; “there’s NO tested and proven timing system that is perfectly accurate”. You have to go with a strategy that you have researched and has a proven success rate over time. Not all indicators will be accurate all the time. This new plan is designed to be right most of the time, and NEVER allow losses to accumulate.
So what is it? Its seven chart indicators looked at each day. I will post the links, as this thread goes along, and my criteria for a positive or negative determination.
And also with a baseball analogy, (batting average of 0-1,000), the Keep Calm Index number is from 0-1,000. It dropped to 500 on Friday.
Re: Keep Calm Index
@Tomanyiron. Just wanted to say thanks for all this work. I read Anticipation every day last year and will surely read the Keep Calm index posts this year. They're very much appreciated.
Cheers.

Thanks KTSPcalc, that's a good one. I was thinking what would be wrong with "Traffic and Weather", and then it hit me, global warming.

Decades ago (1973), a very popular movie imagined a futuristic 2022, Thanks Aitrus.

As I said in the OP the Keep Calm Index is from seven chart indicators.
This is 1 of 7.

Compliments of evilanne. The concept is good, even if does have a little covert sexism in it.

Re: Keep Calm Index
Impressive Long Lower Shadow Candlestick evidenced @ yesterday’s close on SPX.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... rkets-wrap
Futures UP ever so slightly this morning. Should this carry over for a day (or 3) as Confirmation of a REVERSAL, this may provide an opportunity to move back into the C FUND.
Of note, CRONDANET5 was the only member who moved 100% into the C FUND (yesterday).
UPDATED: On an unrelated topic, NRGU (Microsectors U.S. Big Oil Index 3x Leveraged ETN) is UP 36.71% already YTD. Could portend as a reasonable option for a small portion of one’s ROTH IRA.
Best of Luck (everyone) in all you choose to endeavor!!!
