Temped to get back into the market (today), but need assurance that this momentum is going to carry-over for a period of time (short-term)…

May end up bouncing OFF the 50-Day SMA as a line of RESISTANCE…

Wouldn't the 20-day SMA be more probable, based on recent price action?

Looks like it did just that, bounced off the 50 day and then dropped all the way back to the Lower Bollinger Band.

My guess is a re-test of the neck line at 4120 at most and then down some more from there. Under the 200 day SMA, pressure is downward. Short term oversold should get a small push up, maybe. 50 SMA is more likely to be resistance. Sept rate hike coming...

Soon we will test the June low.

Today’s spike “seemingly” came out of nowhere without an associated catalyst…

Futile rally (attempt) until proven otherwise!!!

I say that, then I’m more than likely to jump back in with “Irrational Exuberance”…

What to do, what to do?

Temptation (to get back into the market) is all that it’s meant to be!!!

Positive sentiment (actin’ as a catalyst)…

UPDATE (1140 hrs.): Takin' the plunge, though I have 35 minutes in which to back out. Think I need to pick up a White Key Tag in Gambler's Anonymous

UPDATE (1158 hrs.): Lookin' like a done deal, hopin' for 1-3% over the next 5-10 Trading Sessions (wishful thinkin')

UPDATE (1204 hrs.): Backin' my IFT out, something causin' index to lose momentum

Seeing how devoted politicians are to power, I see financial reports/news being manipulated in a way to show improvement... With the media devoutly onboard with them, things will start to appear fantastic, just in time for the elections.... So, I'm predicting large drops in CPI. The fed will pivot early next year, but with the market being forward looking, it will (maybe, heck I don't know) rise before then.. So maybe a good entry??

Wing, I was wondering the same thing - why was it losing momentum before noon? But I still went back in the market because the price had closed above the 10 SMA and hadn't yet been rejected at the 50 SMA. Now I am just hoping it can break and hold above the 50 SMA tomorrow - fingers crossed.
